Over 50 years ago in 1973, two brothers, their father and their uncle started a catering company on Washington Street in Roslindale. Their mission was simple, treat people well. The Wiggins family quickly developed a reputation for delivering hospitality at Boston’s most well-known cultural institutions.
At Gourmet - our service credo is You Matter! This has two focuses, our team and our clients. Gourmet colleagues can be found wearing marigold pins - official symbol of the You Matter! movement, symbolizing the light and positivity within all of us. Gourmet's company HQ is on Hyde Park Avenue in Hyde Park. Here you will find the company's commissary kitchen, tasting room, and team. Since its founding, Gourmet is privately owned and family. Some 50 years since our founding and the mission remains the same; treat people well.

Gourmet Caterers came with our venue — and we truly feel like we LUCKED OUT. From the beginning, their team was incredibly communicative, professional, and accommodating. They worked with us on various requests throughout the planning process and every interaction left us feeling like we were in great hands. The food at our tasting was already amazing, but somehow it was even better on our wedding day. Our guests absolutely RAVED about the food, every person we spoke to talked about how delicious, hot, and fresh their meal was when it arrived at the table. Firstly the staff is absolutely wonderful. Our wedding attendant was delightful, we felt very taken care of and she felt like a friend by the end of the night. The food is hands down, incredible. I had multiple people tell me it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding and I (selfishly) agree! We didn’t end up getting a wedding cake, so we had the pleasure of having their desserts and I will be thinking about them for years (especially the strawberry and lemon sculptures). The team is also excellent around planning for allergies and food intolerances. Our families have a variety of dietary concerns, and it was never an issue. I highly recommend Gourmet Caterers!
Gourmet was incredible helpful in making our day special for our wedding. From the tasting, to the day of the wedding, Gourmet Caterers was so accommodating, and their attention to detail is above and beyond. They were instrumental in making our wedding day a success!
